Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to uncover trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for legal strategy and compliance.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data for large language models and evaluate model outputs for legal accuracy.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline legal processes and reduce operational risk.
• Map external regulatory intelligence to internal data models and validate data quality.
• Support data‑governance practices, including classification, retention, and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
• Ability to convert complex legal concepts into structured data and quantitative analyses.
• Experience in at least one area such as litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property, or privacy law.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
