Launch Industrial Engineer – Automotive Production

About the role

As a Launch Industrial Engineer you will lead the industrialisation and production launch of new seatbelt, airbag or steering wheel components, ensuring flawless introductions that meet quality, cost and timing targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead industrialisation and production launch activities from Phase 0 through Phase 4.
• Define and develop manufacturing processes, process flows, layouts and workstations.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, manufacturing documentation and standard work instructions.
• Manage production equipment specifications, CAPEX planning and equipment implementation.
• Perform line balancing and establish target manufacturing conditions.
• Coordinate traceability systems and special characteristic requirements.
• Conduct process capability studies and Run @ Rate activities to validate production readiness.
• Support line installation, optimisation, operator training and manufacturing readiness milestones.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve launch and manufacturing issues.
• Drive process and product robustness improvements throughout the industrialisation phase.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or launch management within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of product and process industrialisation activities.
• Proven leadership and project coordination skills.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, cross‑functional, multinational environment.
