Junior Media Relations Coordinator (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Media Relations Coordinator to support the Communication outreach and engagement project on EU policies across North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role is part of a pool of Non‑Key Experts that will be mobilised on a short‑term, on‑demand basis over the 36‑month project duration, providing strategic and logistical communication support to DG MENA.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating press activities, including press trips, media briefings and press conferences.
• Liaise with journalists, media outlets and communication partners to facilitate coverage.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media advisories and press packs.
• Maintain and update media contact databases and distribution lists.
• Coordinate media logistics and accreditation for events.
• Monitor media coverage and help compile press reviews and media reports.
• Support communication teams in implementing media outreach initiatives.
• Provide administrative and logistical assistance for media relations activities.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communication or media studies.
• Fluent English; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is an asset.
• At least 2 years of general experience in media or press relations.
• Minimum 1 year of specific experience coordinating press activities such as press trips, press packs and journalist liaison.
