IT Cobol Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled COBOL Developer to join our international ERP team. You will work on global projects, creating new solutions and enhancing existing functionality while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in international ERP projects to implement and expand solutions.
• Translate functional specifications into robust technical designs.
• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable COBOL code.
• Apply software‑engineering principles to guarantee quality and performance.
• Conduct white‑box testing and support integration testing with business units.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs effectively.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless solutions.

Required profile

• Engineer degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business Informatics.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
• Strong command of English.

Required skills

• COBOL programming (or other procedural languages).
• Oracle PL/SQL and relational/index‑sequential databases.
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management processes.
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE.
• Version‑control tools: SVN, GIT.
• Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
