About the role

The company is seeking a highly qualified Production Engineer to lead manufacturing activities at its Bir Mcherga facility. Reporting to the Production Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that production meets strategic performance, cost, and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise production schedules in line with the master production plan.
• Ensure quantitative and qualitative targets are achieved.
• Lead, coach and develop production teams, including team leaders and operators.
• Organise personnel planning and maintain a constructive social climate.
• Deploy and analyse production dashboards (OEE, scrap rate, yields, schedule adherence).
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects such as lean manufacturing, 5S and loss reduction.
• Optimise equipment utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with supply chain to secure raw material and finished‑goods flows.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and security standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain departments.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Food Engineering, Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a demanding industrial environment, preferably FMCG or food sector.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• High stress tolerance and a strong sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency with production management tools (GPAO, ERP).
• In‑depth knowledge of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
