Industrial Section Leader

About the role

Lear is launching its second plant in Bizerte, Tunisia, within the Thermal Comfort Systems division. The Industrial Section Leader will drive industrial engineering excellence, shaping processes from the ground up and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and problem‑solving activities across the plant.
• Analyze, redesign, and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, scrap, and increase throughput.
• Implement automation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 projects.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and data‑driven performance metrics.
• Identify and execute cost‑reduction opportunities while safeguarding product quality and safety.
• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and leadership to the industrial engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in manufacturing process optimization and continuous‑improvement environments.
• Strong understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead a team in a fast‑paced, greenfield plant setting.
