HR Generalist – Engineering Client, Tunisia

About the role

A recruiter is hiring on behalf of an international client in the engineering, inspection, certification and technical consulting sector, which serves clients in energy, infrastructure, transportation, maritime and industrial fields. The client is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support its local HR operations and people management in an international, multicultural setting. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from payroll and administration to recruitment, onboarding and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax, labour law and social security rules, and coordinate with payroll providers and finance teams
• Act as HR point of contact for employees and managers, support employee relations, disciplinary procedures and terminations, and handle confidential matters
• Support employee engagement, recognition and retention initiatives, and help prepare internal communications and keep the internal SharePoint platform up to date
• Maintain employee data in the HRIS, process status changes and reports, and keep HR data accurate and confidential
• Keep organizational charts, job descriptions and reporting structures current, working with managers
• Act as the local link between business managers and the recruitment team, coordinate recruitment needs and run onboarding for new hires
• Identify training needs, support training initiatives and maintain training records
• Maintain personnel files, employment contracts and administrative documents in line with local legal requirements
