Housekeeper – Public Area

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the public and employee areas of our hotel. You will ensure that all shared spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean public and employee restrooms, showers, glass surfaces, and floor areas using designated chemicals and equipment.
• Dust surfaces, empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns, and dispose of waste properly.
• Inspect furniture for damage, report issues, and maintain lighting fixtures.
• Post caution signs when needed and coordinate urgent repairs with other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests, and report preventative maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Assist guests, including those with disabilities, using clear and courteous communication.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb, moving equipment, using ladders, and working on uneven surfaces.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or prior housekeeping experience required.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work extended shifts on foot.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Team‑oriented attitude with good communication skills.
