Engineering Leader – Global Wiring Systems

About the role

As the Engineering Leader for the Wiring Systems Business Unit, you will be accountable for the global engineering organization, setting direction, ensuring technical excellence and supporting the 2027‑2029 growth plan. The role is based in Tunisia with functional oversight of sites in China, India, and Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Define engineering vision, annual objectives and priorities aligned with business growth and customer needs.
• Lead the Global Design Manager and Project Engineering Manager, overseeing design standards, tools (Zuken), project governance and customer technical support.
• Provide functional guidance to local Engineering Managers across global manufacturing sites, driving process standardisation while respecting site ownership.
• Lead AI‑enabled digital engineering transformation, developing workflows to improve RFQ responsiveness, change control, data standardisation and decision‑making.
• Own and continuously improve engineering processes including project management, change control, AX/item master creation and technical documentation.
• Act as senior technical interface for major customer topics, collaborating closely with Key Account Managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑site engineering teams with clear KPIs and escalation routines.
• Deep expertise in wiring systems design, design‑for‑manufacture, engineering change management and manufacturing interfaces.
• Track record of delivering complex projects across global locations, managing risks, resources and timing.
• Strong communication skills in English to align cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.

Required skills

• Engineering tools such as Zuken.
• ERP/AX item master structures and RFQ processes.
• Experience or strong interest in AI tools and digital workflow integration.
