DevOps Engineer – AWS & Terraform

About the role

STEPS builds modern cloud‑native solutions, AI platforms, and large‑scale digital transformation projects for clients across Africa and beyond. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and delivering reliable cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Create, optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage containerised applications and cloud deployments.
• Monitor, secure and optimise cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and data teams.
• Continuously improve reliability, performance and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS services.
• Hands‑on expertise with Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Good understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Fundamentals of networking and cloud security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Fluent spoken English for international collaboration.
