Department Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Department Manager will lead a defined manufacturing area in a plant located in Tabarka, Tunisia. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient, high‑quality production while meeting internal and external standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations to achieve quantity, quality, and deadline targets.
• Lead shift leaders, coach teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs such as output, scrap, OEE and productivity, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Promote Lean and KVP activities, optimize processes and equipment utilization.
• Ensure compliance with IATF, ISO and support internal/external audits.
• Secure material availability, oversee maintenance planning and TPM activities.
• Lead production projects and support new product introductions (SOP).
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Hands‑on mentality with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM and KPI management.
• Leadership and team‑management experience.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as IATF and ISO.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
