Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to represent the Tunisia plant in resolving customer quality issues and ensuring the highest safety standards for seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels. You will act as the main liaison between customers and internal departments, driving timely resolution of defects and supporting new product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the plant in addressing customer quality concerns and managing 8D reports.
• Coordinate defective product returns, sorting, and rework activities at customer sites.
• Support warranty analysis, containment actions, and the transfer of defect data to internal teams.
• Travel to customer locations as needed to audit compliance, conduct on‑site investigations, and provide technical assistance.
• Participate in expert review committees and communicate product status to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Fluency in English, French and Arabic.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work across multiple departments.

Required skills

• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• PDCA (Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act) cycle.
• 5M and 5P root‑cause analysis tools.
• Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagram.
• IATF 16949 quality standards.
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC core tools.
