Customer Quality Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to support its Tunisia plant and ensure the highest quality standards for safety‑critical automotive components. You will act as the primary liaison between the plant, customers, and internal departments, driving resolution of quality issues and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Autoliv Tunisia plant in resolving customer quality issues.
• Lead the preparation and timely completion of 8D reports.
• Coordinate the return, sorting, and rework of defective products at customer sites.
• Support new product launches and manage warranty returns, including analysis and containment actions.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to assess returns, severity, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide detailed information for internal quality analysis and participate in expert review committees.
• Audit compliance with assembly recommendations and address on‑site quality concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Fluency in English, French and Arabic.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work across multiple departments.

Required skills

• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• PDCA (Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act) cycle.
• 5M and 5P root‑cause analysis tools.
• Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagram.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements.
• Core automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
