Concept Artist / Storyboarder

About the role

Lanterns is an independent studio based in Tunis, Tunisia, that creates compelling stories. It is looking for concept artists to help bring its projects to life, working on the visual style of comics.

Key responsibilities

• Sketch, draw and design art concepts that bring the director's vision to life.
• Create environments, characters, objects and atmospheres that define the visual style of the comics.
• Produce storyboards to plan the flow of the comic, including key scenes, camera angles and character poses.
• Break down scripts into visual elements so the storytelling is clear through illustrations.
• Collaborate with writers and the team to balance the visual narrative and dialogue.
• Develop rough sketches and refine them into polished artwork for final production.
• Make changes so the work matches the artistic vision, and carry out other related comic-production tasks.

Required profile

• Proficiency with digital drawing tools such as Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Photoshop or other software commonly used in comics production (e.g. Procreate, Krita).
• A portfolio must accompany every application; it can be linked in the CV or sent by email.
