Communications and Knowledge Management Intern

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking a Communications and Knowledge Management Intern to support its Tunisia office. The role is hybrid, based in Tunis, and will last for three months with a possible extension. You will work closely with the head of office and the communications assistant.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing communication materials such as social media posts, short articles, newsletters and press releases.
• Support the collection, compilation and drafting of press reviews and media monitoring summaries.
• Help manage and update UN‑Habitat Tunisia’s digital platforms, including social media channels and website content.
• Support the design of basic visual materials such as social media visuals, infographics and presentations.
• Document projects and events through photos, short write‑ups and communication briefs.
• Assist in organizing and promoting events, campaigns and outreach activities.
• Take notes during meetings, briefings and events, and draft meeting summaries when required.
• Help organize and archive communication and visibility materials for knowledge management purposes.
• Perform any other communication‑related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
