CNC Programmer

About the role

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join its manufacturing team. You will translate engineering drawings into precise CNC programs, set up machines, and ensure high‑quality production of complex aircraft engine components.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design blueprints, sketches, and GD&T specifications to define machining operations.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for titanium, stainless steel, nickel, and aluminum alloys.
• Write G‑code programs for 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis CNC milling machines using Mastercam.
• Create instruction sheets, cutter lists, and set‑up documentation for shop‑floor use.
• Optimize existing programs, maintain production schedules, and provide ongoing shop‑floor support.
• Collaborate daily with manufacturing, quality, customers and suppliers to resolve process and design issues.
• Incorporate lean manufacturing principles, quick‑change set‑ups, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of CNC programming experience in the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and quality control procedures.
• Excellent mathematical, measurement, and technical problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑directed work ethic with solid time‑management and project‑management skills.

Required skills
