Cloud Administrator

About the role

Axe Finance is looking for a Cloud Administrator to manage, optimise and secure its cloud‑based infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, scalability and cost‑efficiency while meeting compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, storage and networking components.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and maintain service reliability.
• Optimise resource utilisation for cost‑efficiency and performance.
• Implement security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection and encryption.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to support technical requirements.
• Provide technical support and resolve cloud‑related incidents.
• Develop automation processes to streamline cloud operations.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud tools and technologies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of configurations and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 2–3 years of cloud administration experience, preferably in fintech or software.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication in English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of virtualization technologies.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls).
• Programming skills in Python or Java.
• Working knowledge of cloud resource management and security principles (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
