Clerk – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Clerk – Accounts Payable to join our finance team at Marriott International in Tunis. The role involves processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting cash management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and post invoices, ensuring correct coding, mathematical accuracy, and compliance with SOPs.
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash, cashier banks, and related contracts.
• Assist with period‑end closing procedures and prepare required reports.
• Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks and support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
• Act as liaison with armored car services and banking institutions for cash handling.
• Classify, code, and summarize financial data using journals and ledgers.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and guests, answering phones with proper etiquette.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounts payable or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to handle cash items up to 10 lb and perform basic physical tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
