About the role

The Production Line Manager reports to the Production Pole Manager and is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily operations of a leather‑goods workshop. The role ensures that quality, quantity, and delivery targets are met while maintaining a safe working environment for a team of 25‑30 artisans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of 25‑30 leather workers, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards.
• Plan and schedule production orders, prioritising urgent jobs and optimising workflow.
• Allocate personnel according to skills and job requirements, adapting team composition as needed.
• Oversee training and skill development to preserve and enhance craftsmanship.
• Monitor production tools and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
• Coordinate the flow of operations throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Analyse performance indicators, identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects and promote a culture of operational excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a production workshop or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality and hygiene regulations.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret production data and drive improvements.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing production demands.
