About the role

CARTHAGO CERAMIC, a leader in the manufacturing of construction materials, is seeking a Safety Officer to strengthen its industrial site team. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the company’s health, safety and risk‑prevention policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow up on safety procedures across the site.
• Identify, evaluate and prevent occupational risks.
• Raise awareness and train staff on HSE rules and best practices.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, proposing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
• Monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire‑fighting resources.
• Contribute to the development and updating of emergency and evacuation plans.
• Prepare safety performance reports and key indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) or higher in Hygiene, Safety, Environment (HSE) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Analytical mindset, good organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
