Case Worker – Migration Assistance

About the role
The Case Worker will support vulnerable migrants in Sfax by providing reception, orientation, referral and assistance services under the supervision of the Head of Sub Office and Senior Protection Associate.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct screening interviews to assess migrants' vulnerability and eligibility for IOM assistance.
- Refer eligible beneficiaries—including unaccompanied children, trafficking victims, and medical cases—to appropriate services such as medical care, psychosocial support, legal aid, and voluntary return.
- Provide information and counseling on available services, distribute informational materials, and conduct group orientations.
- Maintain follow‑up with partner agencies to ensure delivery of assistance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health, Psychology or related field with two years of experience, or high school diploma with four years of experience.
- Proven experience assisting migrants or in humanitarian contexts.
- Experience working with governmental, UN or NGOs is an asset.
- Fluency in Arabic, French and English (oral and written).
- Knowledge of Tunisian migration and health issues.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Strong drafting and oral communication abilities.
