Associate Manager – Indirect Procurement (Africa)

About the role

The Associate Manager, Indirect Procurement will support BIC’s procurement strategies for the Africa region, focusing on categories such as CAPEX, facilities management and MRO. You will help achieve cost‑saving targets, manage supplier performance and contribute to the company’s sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on the development and implementation of procurement strategies for assigned indirect categories.
• Track and report forecasted versus actual savings, and assist in mitigating supply risks.
• Analyse market trends and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
• Work with finance to embed savings into budgets and the annual operating plan.
• Participate in supplier selection, negotiation and ongoing strategic supplier management.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability targets, internal policies, regulations and contracts.
• Support category strategy planning, including insights, opportunity identification and KPI monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of procurement priorities, performance goals and strategic implementation.
• Ability to analyse data, track savings and assess supply‑risk factors.
• Experience collaborating with finance and business partners to align budgets and targets.
• Familiarity with supplier selection processes and contract management.
• Knowledge of sustainability targets and sourcing strategies.
