APU Manager – Assembly

About the role

The Autonomous Production Unit (APU) Manager will lead the assembly production area, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement of performance targets. Reporting internally and externally, the role combines people leadership with strong process and KPI oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the APU, representing the department to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence by achieving and improving performance targets such as productivity, FTF, scrap, OTD, OOE, and launch performance.
• Support implementation and sustainment of the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS).
• Facilitate communication, regular performance reviews, and operational meetings within the unit.
• Monitor and analyse KPIs, define objectives, create action plans and allocate resources.
• Ensure equipment reliability, machine availability and compliance with 5S standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing, production or operations management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Good understanding of quality, safety and operational excellence standards.
• Fluent English; French and/or German a plus.
