Accounts Payable Accountant – Relocate from Tunisia to UAE

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing software and digital solutions provider operating across FinTech, Gaming and Marketing, is expanding its finance team in the UAE. They are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to ensure vendor payments are accurate and timely, support month‑end close activities and uphold financial integrity across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor payment requests for policy compliance and timely processing.
• Process travel & expense (T&E) and other expense claims, identifying errors before posting.
• Maintain vendor master data and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Post journal entries, manage accruals and ensure proper period‑ending.
• Reconcile bank statements and outstanding balances against financial records.
• Prepare month‑end schedules and support the full close process.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and file tax returns, staying current with local tax regulations.
• Act as liaison for banks, auditors and tax authorities when required.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience as an AP Accountant or General Accounting professional.
• Strong understanding of technology‑industry expense structures, including T&E.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• High integrity with confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (or similar) accounting system.
• SAP ERP accounting system.
• Advanced Excel.
• Google Sheets.
