Account Director – Education Solutions

About the role

Efekta is seeking an Account Director to lead education‑focused sales initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, you will shape go‑to‑market strategies for public schools, private schools and universities, and work closely with policymakers to advance AI‑powered learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute tailored go‑to‑market plans for public and private education entities and legislation‑driven programs.
• Engage and influence policymakers, regulators, state legislators and education administrators.
• Monitor and respond to public policy and regulatory changes, collaborating with lobbyists or internal teams.
• Manage full sales cycles including prospecting, RFP/RFQ proposal design, negotiation and closure.
• Oversee KPIs such as new partnerships secured, revenue growth, sales‑funnel velocity and policy impact.

• Self‑starter with strong ethics and a proven track record closing complex, strategic deals.
• Entrepreneurial, resilient and comfortable working autonomously.
• Credible in senior stakeholder conversations with government decision‑makers.
• Curious, commercially sharp and a natural networker.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Minimum 5 years sales experience in B2G or B2B.
• Proven ability to close high‑value deals with government and institutions.
• Knowledge and preferably a network in the education sector (procurement, budgets, policy).
• Fluency in English and the local language.
• Experience in EdTech, SaaS or publishing is a plus.
