WordPress Developer for Privacy-Compliant Sites

About the role

VegaNext, a technology and security consulting firm, is seeking a WordPress Developer who specializes in privacy‑compliant implementations. You will work directly with mid‑market and enterprise clients to build, maintain, and audit their web platforms, ensuring that consent mechanisms and tracker controls meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress sites, including themes, plugins, and third‑party integrations.
• Optimize site performance, security, and reliability while troubleshooting production issues.
• Implement and maintain cookie/consent banners, tracker blocking, and other privacy‑compliant behaviors across scripts, embeds, tag managers, and third‑party services.
• Audit live sites for hidden trackers, verify that consent choices are technically enforced, and document findings.
• Prevent regressions through rigorous testing, monitoring, and disciplined change‑control processes.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with WordPress development, including themes, plugins, performance tuning, and security.
• Proven ability to implement consent banners and blocker solutions across diverse web assets.
• Experience auditing sites for hidden trackers and ensuring consent enforcement.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills.
