Wholesale Banking Analyst

About the role

The Wholesale Banking Analyst will join Bank ABC’s Wholesale Banking division in Tunis, providing middle‑office support for credit extension and maintenance. The role bridges the Front Office and Back Office, ensuring smooth lending operations and risk‑aware client onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver efficient middle‑office discipline for all lending activities, supporting coverage groups, Credit, Risk and Operations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date, risk‑based KYC and AML certifications for wholesale banking relationships.
• Facilitate client onboarding and account opening to ensure a high‑quality relationship initiation experience.
• Act as a referral point for Front and Back Office teams, arbitrating issues arising from lending activities.
• Introduce best practices and robust controls to increase risk awareness and accountability within coverage teams.
• Identify and implement efficiency opportunities through task automation and IT system enhancements.
• Monitor and report on gaps in business processes, working to minimise their impact.
• Support credit, trade finance, treasury, and operational functions with accurate financial assessments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance from a reputable university, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a wholesale bank, consulting, audit firm or related financial services institution.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and time‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized and able to perform under pressure.
• Good knowledge of credit, trade finance, treasury, front‑office and operations processes.
• Ability to challenge figures and contribute to business planning.

Required skills

• Proficient PC and IT application skills.
• Experience with KYC and AML certification processes.
• Familiarity with credit and trade‑finance assessment tools.
