Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead

About the role

Forvia is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead to head its SQA team. You will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet the highest quality standards throughout product development and industrialisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Supplier Quality Assurance team, providing coaching and performance oversight.
• Oversee supplier qualification, evaluation, and approval for new and existing suppliers.
• Drive Advanced Supplier Quality (ASQ) activities during new product launches and industrialisation.
• Review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation in collaboration with engineering, program management, and plant quality teams.
• Conduct supplier process, system, and product audits in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, or other applicable standards.
• Implement and verify containment, corrective, and preventive actions for supplier quality issues.
• Monitor supplier quality performance using KPIs such as PPM, on‑time PPAP, audit scores, cost of poor quality, and responsiveness.
• Develop and execute supplier improvement plans and ensure compliance with customer‑specific and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in customer, certification, and cross‑functional quality audits.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering with a focus on quality.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an SQA professional in an industrial environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French and English.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, Core Quality Tools.
• Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA standards and automotive customer requirements.
