Stores Team Lead

About the role

The Stores Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all store operations, managing inventory, and leading the store team to ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. This role guarantees stock accuracy, safety compliance and high organisational standards within the warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily store activities, including receipt, inspection, storage and dispatch of materials.
• Lead, train and develop store staff, ensuring cross‑training and availability across key areas.
• Coordinate with Operational Leaders and the SIOP team to launch jobs on time and kit projects with the correct materials.
• Record inbound and outbound goods using the Syteline 10 system and perform regular stock checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised store and yard, adhering to EHS policies and reporting any scrap or damages.
• Manage import/export documentation, book transport and oversee waste recycling and skip usage.
• Develop, monitor and report KPI’s for the stores area and participate in Kaizen initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing teams.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and waste‑recycling practices.
• Methodical, organised and able to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills at all business levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Syteline 10 stock management system.
• General computer literacy and experience with stock‑control software.
