Specialist Technician – CNC Material Preparation & Milling

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Specialist Technician to operate CNC machines and perform material preparation and milling tasks in an automotive wiring production environment. You will be responsible for setting up and running numerically controlled equipment to shape parts through chip‑forming processes while ensuring high quality and compliance with work instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and set up CNC production machines and related instruments.
• Perform chip‑forming operations such as milling, grinding, cutting and drilling.
• Conduct visual and measured quality checks on finished parts.
• Document process parameters and measurement results in software and paper records.
• Maintain equipment, tools and materials, ensuring proper usage and storage.
• Identify defective parts, isolate them and report findings promptly.

Required profile

• BTS or equivalent in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and follow documented procedures.
• Good teamwork, communication and intercultural sensitivity.
• Motivation, resilience and capacity to manage change.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and numerical control programming.
• Experience with chip‑forming processes (milling, grinding, cutting, drilling).
• Use of measurement devices, band saws and lathes.
• Visual inspection and defect identification.
• Process documentation in software and paper formats.
