Specialist Planner Production

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Specialist Planner Production to join its manufacturing team in Tunisia. You will be responsible for coordinating machine and assembly planning, ensuring optimal use of resources, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑paced automotive wiring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize cutting orders, redistributing machine workloads due to maintenance or unexpected events.
• Develop urgent optimisation plans for critical customer requests, material shortages, or capacity constraints.
• Validate and update production databases such as Cutting Area Optimisation (CAO) and FORS with missing data (crimp data, routing, tools).
• Route and prioritise order distribution to production lines and workstations after receiving plans from Value Chain Management.
• Adjust order sequences to accommodate urgent orders, material impacts, and equipment availability.
• Generate reports on order completion (OTIF) and monitor plan adherence, escalating deviations as needed.
• Initiate plan changes in response to external factors and participate in schedule‑adherence meetings with shift leaders, segment leaders, and Value Chain Management.

Required profile

• Minimum BTS (or equivalent) in a technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in production planning, machine scheduling, or a related manufacturing role.
• Strong communication and intercultural sensitivity.
• Ability to manage change, stay result‑oriented, and work resiliently under pressure.
• Self‑organisation and conflict‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cutting Area Optimisation (CAO) tools.
• Experience using the FORS production database.
