Specialist Legal Counsel

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Specialist Legal Counsel to provide independent legal advice and support to management, the Management Board and the Supervisory Board. The role involves handling commercial and public law matters, representing the company in court, and ensuring legal compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Draft decision documents for senior management and boards.
• Provide independent legal advice on commercial and public law issues.
• Represent the division in courts and before local authorities, coordinating with external law firms when required.
• Create, review, negotiate and draft contracts and other legal documents.
• Develop and coordinate legal policies, guidelines and measures.
• Select, commission, manage and supervise external lawyers and notaries.
• Design and deliver training programs on legal topics.
• Provide legal input to business processes to mitigate risks.
• Report major risks and opportunities to the Central Legal function.
• Manage complex domestic projects, control resources and report costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in providing independent legal advice on commercial and public law matters.
• Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• Experience representing a company before courts and authorities.
• Strong coordination skills with international colleagues and external counsel.
• Capability to develop legal policies, guidelines and training programs.
