Site Reliability / Production Engineer

About the role

Storyteller is seeking two hands‑on Site Reliability / Production Engineers to provide out‑of‑hours coverage for its high‑growth B2B SaaS platform. You will be the first technical responder for live incidents, using AI‑assisted triage while maintaining full ownership of the response.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to live incidents, assess customer impact, severity and blast radius, and execute proportionate mitigations such as restarts, roll‑backs, configuration changes or bounded fixes.
• Use logs, metrics, traces, dashboards and deployment history to diagnose issues, validate that customer outcomes have recovered, and produce clear incident records.
• When incidents are quiet, improve reliability by reducing alert noise, enhancing monitoring, creating runbooks, automating repetitive tasks and building AI‑driven diagnostics.

Required profile

• Strong ownership and operational judgement for ambiguous, high‑pressure problems.
• Ability to communicate calmly with support, developers and non‑technical stakeholders, making evidence and next actions clear.
• Curiosity and resilience to learn unfamiliar products quickly and adapt hypotheses based on evidence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI tools for investigation, hypothesis generation and automation, while supervising outputs.
• Experience navigating logs, metrics, tracing systems, dashboards, deployment pipelines, infrastructure, databases, queues and APIs.
• Comfort with command‑line tools and making hands‑on changes with a clear validation plan.
