Senior .NET Developer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a cross‑functional product team that maintains and evolves a large‑scale Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system. The role is fully remote, based in Tunisia, and will be engaged on a three‑month freelance contract with the possibility of renewal.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET (C#.NET Core/6+) applications and microservices following SOLID, Clean Architecture and DDD principles.
• Build and enhance ETRM solutions covering the full trade lifecycle – capture, scheduling, risk, and settlements.
• Deploy cloud‑native components on Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS) using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Handle L3 incidents, troubleshoot, and optimise distributed and cloud‑based systems.
• Write unit and integration tests, develop SQL queries, stored procedures and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Participate in code reviews, promote cloud security best practices and support CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development (C#.NET Core / .NET 6+).
• Strong background in microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services, AKS/Kubernetes, Docker.
• Solid SQL skills (T‑SQL / PL‑SQL) and experience with CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.
• Deep understanding of modern design principles (SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD) and unit testing.
