Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI Specialist

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a passionate Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models and MLOps. You will design, architect and deliver high‑value AI solutions for clients across the region, turning business challenges into scalable, production‑ready models.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to identify AI transformation opportunities and define business requirements.
• Collaborate with client teams to architect, design and deploy Generative AI and LLM‑based solutions.
• Select, fine‑tune and evaluate ML/DL/LLM models that address specific business problems.
• Implement DevOps and MLOps best practices (CI/CD, containerization, orchestration) for automated deployment, monitoring and performance tracking of production models.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data science, machine learning and AI, with a proven record of deploying models to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel between Tunis and Riyadh (KSA) as needed.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of transformer architectures, foundation models, LLMs, diffusion models and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Advanced Python programming and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑Learn and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong data‑engineering capabilities: data collection, cleaning, feature engineering and pipeline design.
• Familiarity with computer vision, visual‑language models, text‑to‑speech and speech‑to‑text technologies.
