Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will manage the procurement of all assigned commodities to support aerospace manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery and cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Order production materials and supplies using ERP/MRP systems and reorder rules.
• Coordinate changes to purchase order quantities or delivery dates based on production plans.
• Identify new suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality and service.
• Address receiving, invoicing and paperwork issues promptly.
• Negotiate total cost and delivery terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Monitor and expedite purchase order requirements and maintain commitments in the system.
• Implement and manage long‑term agreements with suppliers to achieve price reductions and on‑time deliveries.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of purchasing or outsourcing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation, judgment, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage projects, analyze data, work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Required skills

• Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint.
• ERP/MRP systems (Syteline, Symix or similar).
• Quality‑assurance methods in aerospace manufacturing.
