Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation and management of our Azure Cloud environment. You will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure, Architect and Platform Product Owner based in the Netherlands, supporting the migration of private‑cloud and on‑premise systems to Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams, Microsoft experts and external partners on architectural and technical discussions.
• Analyze existing private‑cloud setups across operating companies, including VM configurations, resource consumption and dependencies.
• Design and implement detailed migration plans to Azure for each application, aligned with security recommendations.
• Deploy servers and resources in Azure while respecting technical, security and cost constraints.
• Set up tools and dashboards to monitor project progress, cloud usage and budget consumption.
• Ensure stability, performance and security of the Azure environment through daily monitoring and proactive maintenance.

Required profile

• A degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience in public cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Proven participation in migrating from on‑premise or private‑cloud environments to Azure.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• A team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – proven hands‑on experience automating provisioning and configuration.
• Broad knowledge and practical experience across a wide range of Microsoft Azure services.
