Secondary Physics Teacher (Full‑time, On‑site)

About the role

The CIS International School of Tunis is seeking a full‑time Secondary Physics Teacher to join its on‑site faculty. You will design and deliver engaging physics lessons that align with international curricula and support students of diverse abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and assess physics lessons for middle and/or high‑school students.
• Develop formative and summative assessments, grade work, and provide timely feedback.
• Integrate mathematics and scientific inquiry into physics instruction.
• Facilitate hands‑on experiments, demonstrations, and project‑based learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum development, and school‑wide initiatives.
• Support extra‑curricular science competitions and activities.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the broader school community.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in physics and related mathematics concepts for secondary education.
• Experience with Cambridge and/or Pearson curricula preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in laboratory safety and practical experimentation.
• Proficiency in learner‑centered teaching, classroom management, and differentiation.
• Experience designing curriculum and assessments that meet international standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Physics Education, Science Education, or a related field; teaching certification strongly preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
