Registration Assistant

About the role

The Registration Assistant supports IOM’s migration services in Tunisia by managing the helpline, providing information to migrants, and ensuring accurate registration of beneficiaries. Working under the Head of Sub‑Office and the Senior Programme Assistant, the role is a key entry point for migrants seeking assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Answer helpline calls and deliver basic information on IOM services in Tunisia.
• Register callers using the standardized data‑collection system and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Refer eligible beneficiaries (including trafficking victims, medical cases, and vulnerable migrants) to appropriate case workers, medical, psychosocial, or external service providers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in the helpline database and track follow‑up communications.
• Assist with the distribution of non‑food items (NFIs) to vulnerable migrants.
• Support outreach activities conducted by the unit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Law, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a high‑school diploma in the above fields with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse migrant populations.
• Eligibility for internal or external recruitment as defined by IOM.
