Regional Security Specialist - Africa

About the role

Join DRÄXLMAIER and play a vital role in shaping and strengthening security across our operations. We are looking for a proactive Regional Security Specialist to drive security excellence, ensure compliance, and support business continuity across multiple plant locations in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance regional security processes, standards, and policies.
• Monitor and report on security performance, incidents, KPIs, and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead mitigation initiatives across plants.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and certification requirements such as TISAX and AEO.
• Coordinate crisis and emergency management activities regionally.
• Plan and deliver security training and awareness programs.
• Lead security audits, inspections, and improvement actions.
• Manage security‑related projects, infrastructure, and tenders.
• Act as the main contact for all security matters across the region.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in security management, risk management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of proven experience in corporate or industrial security, preferably multi‑site or regional.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, compliance, and crisis management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel across the region.
• Fluent English.
