QA Engineer – Mobile, Web & Backend Testing

About the role

Solaya is seeking a motivated QA Engineer to own quality assurance across its full technology stack, including mobile, web, back‑end APIs and cloud infrastructure. You will help define QA processes, work closely with engineering and product teams, and ensure reliable, high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain test strategies for iOS/Android, web front‑end, back‑end APIs and cloud infrastructure.
• Write, execute and automate functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end test suites.
• Define and track quality metrics, log bugs and follow them through resolution.
• Validate REST and gRPC APIs, data pipelines and cloud storage integrations (e.g., AWS S3).
• Test edge‑device software for connectivity, latency and offline scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Participate in code reviews from a quality perspective and promote testability.
• Document and disseminate QA standards, processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of software QA experience covering at least two areas: mobile, web, back‑end or infrastructure.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

• Automated testing frameworks: Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Appium.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• SQL or NoSQL databases for data validation.
• Linux/Ubuntu environment.
