Production Manager – Automotive Operations

About the role

As a Production Manager within Lear’s Operations team, you will report to the Operations Manager and drive production performance across multiple units. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing manufacturing activities to meet quality, delivery and efficiency targets in the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production schedules in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Organize and supervise production activities across units, ensuring compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify issues and implement corrective actions to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines.
• Lead, coach and manage production teams and front‑line managers, handling onboarding, training and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality and processes, maintaining dashboards and operational performance tracking.
• Manage work‑in‑process inventory effectively and support compliance with QRQC, LPA audits and 5S standards.
• Ensure adherence to IATF, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing production teams.
• Proven ability to manage onboarding, training and performance of staff.
