Production Engineer

About the role

COFICAB, a global leader in automotive cable and wire manufacturing, is seeking a Production Engineer for its Medjez el Beb plant. The role focuses on scheduling, monitoring, and improving production activities within the extrusion department to meet quality, efficiency and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement production organization, policies, procedures and visual aids in line with corporate standards.
• Define inventory levels per article and develop schedules for metal bunching, multidrawing and rod drawing, including machine and shift allocation.
• Monitor daily program progress, adjust schedules to ensure semi‑finished goods availability, optimise raw material consumption and minimise scrap.
• Collect and review production data, identify parameter discrepancies and apply fast problem‑solving techniques.
• Support the shop‑floor team in diagnosing issues such as wire breakage, copper over‑consumption and 5S compliance, and drive corrective actions.
• Review first‑level maintenance activities and contribute to technical performance evaluation, training and coaching of the production team.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Industrial or Technical fields.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an industrial production environment.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and adhere to quality and EHS standards.
