Production Deputy Manager – Jemmal Site

About the role

Draexlmaier, a leading manufacturer of modern cable harness systems and exclusive vehicle interiors, is looking for an experienced Production Deputy Manager for its Jemmal site. The role strengthens the operations team and contributes to production performance, premium manufacturing standards, effective team management and continuous improvement. It is a full-time position on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production teams to meet safety, quality, productivity and cost targets.
• Coordinate production activities and work with Quality, Maintenance and other departments.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, costs and production performance, ensuring production and PPM objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety, fire protection and regulatory requirements.
• Manage workforce discipline, attendance, housekeeping and task allocation.
• Prepare and analyse production reports, statistics and performance data.
• Support audits and improve production and EHS management systems.
• Recruit, approve leaves and plan the workforce with HR, and authorise employment documents such as contracts and termination notices.
• Escalate process deviations to the Process Manager, Process Owner or Head of Department and implement process improvements.
• Train, motivate and develop employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in production management.
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
• Fluent in English and French; German is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MES, SQL, SBS, IPST Masq and reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, FMEA, PLP and JIT manufacturing principles.
• Understanding of EHS requirements and environmental policies.
