Product Engineer – AI Operating System for Short‑Term Rentals

About the role

Base360.ai is building an AI‑driven operating system for short‑term rental operators. As a Product Engineer you will turn real customer problems into reliable, intuitive software that automates the entire rental lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with property managers to understand workflows, identify friction points, and define high‑impact problems.
• Design, develop, test, and ship end‑to‑end features across frontend and backend, including APIs, dashboards, and automation engines.
• Collaborate with designers to create clean, user‑friendly interfaces for complex rental operations.
• Build event‑driven automation workflows that eliminate repetitive tasks such as cleaning scheduling and guest communications.
• Develop AI‑powered features using LLMs and OpenAI APIs to automate guest interactions, maintenance triage, and pricing decisions.
• Implement and maintain reliable integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, and Google.
• Measure product impact through usage data and customer feedback, iterating to improve adoption and efficiency.
• Make technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability, security, and scalability as the platform grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software.
• Ability to work across both frontend and backend systems.
• Hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI (or similar frameworks).
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture.
• Product mindset with curiosity about why users need a feature and how to measure success.
• Confidence collaborating directly with customers, designers, and founders.
