Procurement Team Leader

About the role

The Procurement Team Leader will coordinate and oversee material supply operations to ensure that production plans are met on time, within quality standards and at optimal cost. This role is pivotal for aligning supplier performance with customer requirements and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of supply planners and allocate workload based on SKU count and supplier complexity.
• Define and continuously monitor the supply schedule according to material requirements.
• Track supplier performance to mitigate potential delays.
• Maintain optimal raw material inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
• Analyze weekly critical issues such as safety‑stock depletion and initiate corrective actions.
• Communicate urgent issues to suppliers and coordinate with Production, Engineering and Quality departments.
• Improve processes and tools to enhance raw‑material management and information flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain roles, including material planning.
• Previous managerial experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement principles.
• Expertise in inventory control, production planning and supplier management.
