Principal – International School (Cambridge Curriculum) – Tunis

About the role

We are seeking an inspirational Principal to lead an international school in Tunis that delivers the Cambridge International Curriculum. The successful candidate will shape the school’s vision, drive academic excellence and foster a caring pastoral environment for a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school’s strategic plan in line with British‑style education standards.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, assessment and quality assurance for Cambridge programmes.
• Lead and support teaching staff, promoting professional development and collaborative practice.
• Ensure compliance with COBIS accreditation requirements and safeguarding policies.
• Promote multilingual learning in English, French and Arabic and nurture holistic student wellbeing.
• Manage budgets, resources and facilities to maintain a modern learning environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field.
• Recognised leadership qualification such as NPQH or equivalent international credential.
• Proven senior leadership experience in a British or international school setting.
• Strong understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and COBIS standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional French or Arabic is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Cambridge International Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Familiarity with COBIS accreditation processes.
• Experience managing multilingual, multicultural school communities.
