Point Cloud Processing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Point Cloud Processing Specialist to convert raw 3D laser‑scanning, photogrammetric or LiDAR data into accurate digital models that support engineering, architectural and construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with BIM, CAD and GIS teams to deliver high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Process and register point clouds from laser‑scanning and photogrammetric surveys.
• Clean, filter, and optimise raw datasets.
• Align and georeference point clouds using appropriate coordinate systems.
• Create 3D models, meshes and surface representations from processed data.
• Organise and store large datasets in a structured manner.
• Collaborate with design teams (BIM, CAD, GIS) to integrate point‑cloud outputs into project workflows.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Geomatics, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Experience in point‑cloud processing (junior candidates considered if well trained).
• Familiarity with coordinate systems, georeferencing and large‑volume data handling.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Point‑cloud software such as CloudCompare, Leica Cyclone, TerraScan, Faro Scene, Trimble RealWorks, Autodesk ReCap or Metashape.
• CAD/BIM tools like AutoCAD and Revit.
• GIS applications (QGIS, ArcGIS) – optional but preferred.
• Basic scripting in Python or MATLAB.
