PFMEA Coordinator – Quality Lead Specialist

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a PFMEA Coordinator to lead the creation, review and maintenance of Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) and Control Plans across its automotive manufacturing processes. The role ensures alignment with customer requirements, drives continuous improvement, and supports product launch readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the creation, review, approval and update of PFMEAs and Control Plans following process changes, audits or quality incidents.
• Lead PFMEA workshops, cross‑functional risk assessments and drive risk‑reduction actions.
• Maintain and improve PFMEA and Control Plan deployment, ensuring compliance with AIAG‑VDA methodology.
• Conduct PFMEA and Control Plan audits to verify effectiveness.
• Support APQP, PPAP and industrialisation projects, and define process control strategies.
• Coach teams on PFMEA methodology, Six Sigma tools and quality best practices.
• Participate in customer, IATF and internal audits, ensuring adherence to IATF 16949 and customer‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the automotive industry.
• At least 2 years hands‑on experience owning PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Strong decision‑making and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• AIAG‑VDA PFMEA methodology.
• Control Plan development and deployment.
• APQP and PPAP processes.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements compliance.
• Process auditing (VDA 6.3 preferred).
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Problem‑solving tools: 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa.
