Payroll Implementation Manager

About the role

Deel, an all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams, is looking for a Payroll Implementation Manager. The role oversees the implementation and data migration of payroll systems for clients, leading the full process so that client data is accurately transferred, systems are properly configured and the transition is seamless. It works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding clients through setup and migration and offering ongoing support and training.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the onboarding team and clients to run kick-off meetings and deliver the implementation, and create and manage project plans
• Support project review calls, coordinate project streams and manage changes to scope and delivery schedule
• Define and set up client payroll processes, calendars and data requirements
• Maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports and process documentation
• Configure interfaces, reports and systems for parallel and live payroll, then obtain client sign-off
• Generate reports to analyse, audit and reconcile payroll data, and map GL reports if required
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, report weekly on project status and escalate issues to senior leadership
• Gather requirements with HR and Finance, ensure compliance with local tax and labour laws, and oversee data migration from legacy systems
• Run testing, implement change management and deliver the project on time and on budget

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance in the designated location
• Client-facing project management experience managing multiple projects
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field (Master's preferred)

Required skills

• Experience with payroll systems and software
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
